You win again, busy scheduled life, you always do!
There's just far too much going on in life lately.
---The kids are out of school, except IK who is enrolled in driver's ed for the month of June.
---The summer soccer program has begun for IK to condition and train for a shot at being on next year's high school soccer team.
---VBS (vacation Bible school) program at church begins for LA and KW next week.
---IK and EJ are also very busy with church youth group activities.
---EJ's 13th birthday happened last week, we're celebrating this week.
---I just bought a bunch of new to them clothes for all my children who have decided to keep on growing.
---SD's practicing with his quartet every week and has lots of upcoming concerts booked.
---Still no job for me, filling out as many applications as I can these days (fewer are being posted).
---I've sold 14 patterns through my etsy shop in the past 20 days, not bad.
---I need to find more time to create more patterns for sale.
---I've started running again a little the past couple of weeks, been extremely frustrated at how much speed I've lost and now have to train to get back.
---My friend Christa and I have started a summer running club for beginning runners. We have 4 other people interested in the club so far and it's intended to prepare them for their first 5k run, as well as to tone their bodies, help them lose weight, gain more energy, and overall have fun.
---Christa and I are also following a modified version of the plan, with longer runs and more intensity, and we're talking about training to run our first half marathon this fall, neither of us has run that far before. I can't wait!
---Life has been dishing out a full serving of Murphy's Law days lately,...and it's getting REALLY old. Our Suburban is completely dead, again, and we've already dished out about $400 trying to fix it with no luck (SD has completely replace the fuel filter and fuel pump,...which is NO small feat!). We need to get this problem fixed soon, because I'm really tired of getting stranded places with my children...in my pajamas!
---The lawn mower decided to die the same day as the suburban, and IK ended up stranded on a broken bicycle that same day too.
---I've been putting off getting a crown for the past 2 years to fix a hairline fracture in my tooth because our insurance doesn't cover it, but couldn't wait any longer, so there's another $900 to add to our Murphy's Law lifestyle.
---The financial stresses of life have been very overwhelming lately, leaving SD and I feeling extremely frustrated and stressed out most days. As he put it last night, "we really need a win right now."
---There's little else I can think of to do than to just keep praying about all of the above, trusting in God to provide and care for us, finding a solution as He always does.
I'm off to house clean a ton, pick up IK and TJ from driver's ed, and then hopefully run a new course with Christa around a nearby lake with some great hills to push through. Running is always tough, and sometimes I almost hate it while I'm doing it, but it's a great stress reliever and I always feel so amazing when it's over!
